Yikes! The Cost Of New Digs

The Dallas Cowboys are set to debut their new stadium in 2009. So far, the progress has been positive...until this week.

Earlier in the week there was a crane accident that sent three workers to the hospital. Two of the workers were treated and released, but as of Saturday one was in serious condition.

Also, condolenses go out to the family of the worker who had a fatal incident on Saturday. The worker touched a high voltage line, and died shortly after.

This brings all this into perspective. Four workers in less than a week involved in accidents. Is all these tragedies worth the price of a new stadium? I guess we will find out in September of 2009.

Other stories
-> Free agent WR Chris Henry has been suspended indefinetly by the NFL after being arrested last month. Henry was released by the Bengals shortly after the arrest, and now has to wait a while before he can find a new home. Henry becomes the second ex-Bengal to receive a indefinite suspension from the NFL in the last month.
-> Just as we thought we would be without the Caddie again in 2008, he is showing signs of progress. The Bucs are confident that RB Cadillac Williams will be able to play by the start of the seasons. Now, the only question is: who will be the starter, Williams of Earnest Graham. Williams showed tonnes of potential during 2004 and 2005. Graham played very well last season, so you see the controversy. Maybe running back by committee?
-> Bengals WR Chad Johnson is officially off the hook. He reported to mini camps, and participated in team drills before the end. Good job Chad. I wonder if he showed up because he still wants to be a Bengal, or just because of the possible fines he could have received.

I wouldn't call these tragedies in return for a new stadium....the people working on the stadium are professionals just as much as Tony Romo is a pro QB. It's just mistakes and it's no reflection of the Dallas Cowboys. It is really too bad though, I wouldn't say these guys are going out and "risking it all" to build this stadium.
